Except, there's an audio recording of Cohen and Trump appearing to talk about how to reimburse the National Enquirer for their payment to Karen McDougal.

I mean, he lies just like the rest of us breathe air.

That’s what narcissists do.

We were warned. His voters thought it was funny, an act.

Trump seems to think that the payments to Daniels and McDougal were OK because they did not come from campaign funds. He's got this absolutely backward. If the hush money payments had come from legally raised campaign funds, they'd probably be OK as long as they were on the disclosure forms.

Brainwashed Trumpers are in full force to exonerate Trump of all crimes. Any effort to make them see truth is futile!

They were NOT existing campaign funds, Cohen's contribution (by paying MacDougal) is the part that is considered the campaign contribution. Why is this so hard for people to understand?

Because Rudy Giuliani has been out there bullsh!tting about it for months.

Listen to this analysis on PBS for details other than what was discussed here. When he was asked to make the hush payments, Cohen knew that they were illegal:

Everything that is used for a political campaign is considered campaign funds. There is nothing on the money that reads "campaign funds".

Really? A presidential candidate can’t write a personal check? Let me guess. - liberal elite college

You mean that the payment was not related to the campaign in any way? Let me guess: no college.

Or no brain, more likely.

And that is exactly what is illegal about it. They made a substantial campaign expenditure without disclosing it. And it looks like Cohen didn't do it from the kindness of his heart, he did it at the request of Candidate 1. I wonder who candidate 1 could be.
