They may be a joke according to some of you, but they are all that we have right now. So, rather than sitting around taking cheap shots, why don't we work harder to improve the Board?

I personally know many parents who applied for the board when they advertised the position. None of them were selected. I don’t think you can criticize most parents for being lazy or checked out. It’s a very involved parent community. And the concerns are legitimate.

And yet I do believe the board is turning over somewhat - lot of people have left and new members were brought on, most of whom are parents. Working closely with advice from Charter Board Partners. Opened a feedback line and do respond to inquiries.

This is untrue. The contract with Charter Board Partners expired and they have not renewed it.

I work with charter board partners on occasion and the consensus seems to be the LAMB Board is a joke. Just saying- don’t expect much.

Charter Board Partners definitely thinks the LAMB board is a joke.

They will go to the wait list to fill spaces as they open up -- either if/when new families turn them down the spaces they've been offered or if/when current families informing them they are leaving.

And I know there are a many contemplating leaving because of perceived mismanagement from the Board. If the teachers weren’t outstanding and my kids weren’t thriving I’d absolutely be out the door, no question.

For all current parents, please email the Board with this feedback/any requests for decision by a certain date. Then, if they ignore that, come back and complain. But at least do something first.
