Yeah, I agree it was triumph for the Democrats last night. That said, I’m more interested in an emerging new guard than the old guard – including those you mentioned, and actually, even including Bernie. It’s time to re-shape the way we think about ourselves and look to the future. There are reasonable other points of you besides mine, and I would like to be able to have a conversation about them without fevolving into a trump versus Hillary versus Obama fake news death spiral. Let’s focus on what we agree on, and we need to get done.

She is the first openly trans legislator in the USA. The one in Massachusetts was not open about it.

You seem to consider it "race baiting" when people call your side out on statements/policies like "build the wall," "a judge of Mexican descent can't objectively judge my case," "ban Muslim immigrants and refugees," "police should use more, not less, violent tactics and resist reform," "Northam supports Latin American gangs," etc. But you apparently have no problem with those statements themselves. This is what I mean: we don't see the world the same way. I consider the Republican party to be obsessed with divisive and unpopular social issues, with their constant bathroom bills, resistance to popular and common sense gun control initiatives, efforts to restrict access to not only abortion but also birth control and sex education, and harping on what "real Americans" (meaning white, middle class Midwesterners) think about things.
And they are hypocrites for saying the are so opposed to government regulation and government involvement in their lives. Except, they are totally OK with regulating the lives of women and people who don't live exactly the way they think they should.

Poor you. You are correct, though... Democrats and liberals tend to be very open-minded and tolerant. But, we will NOT tolerate your intolerance. That does not make us sanctimonious. It makes us consistent.
