Kid got waitlisted at Fox Chapel. We got percentile instead of score though... wonder if that's because of the pilot program. Median applicant score was 79. Kid scored 97. Waitlist.

My child received the letter with his SAS score but not the acceptance letter. I had to call the AEI office for that information. I gave her my kid's Student ID number, and she told me he was accepted. Then she put me on hold to say which school he'd been assigned to... I was nervous because my high-school-aged child got an acceptance letter the same day as the program's open house last year, so I didn't want to take any chances. At this point, it has been four business days, so they will tell you on the phone.

Maybe that is just the kid speaking, not an uncommon reaction. Kids want to be with their friends and might at first balk at the idea of changing schools. This happened to us, briefly, until DC heard that best friend got in, too. Then was happy to go.

Barnsley principal called on Tuesday to let parents know if their child got in- so they would have time to plan for the open house on Monday. Just fyi. Just got scores in mail today, but acceptance letter still hasn't arrived- only know my daughter got accepted from the phone call.

We haven't received either letter. I just called this afternoon and left a message after going through their automated prompts to get to the HGC office. Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services, 240-740-2540. I left a message about two hours ago and have not yet heard back. I'm sure they are slammed with calls!

Yes, I'm curious if the people reporting percentages are in the pilot programs (Drew, Fox Chapel, Stonegate, Matsunaga, and maybe Piney Branch) vs. the scores being reported at the traditional programs (like Cold Spring). My kid is in Drew but we haven't got the score letter yet.
