I don't understand the excitement for amounts of snow that pose a serious problem for a lot of at risk populations, such as people with medical needs.

For me, it just means trying to shovel snow while caring for a newborn and a toddler, and generally going insane.

When these storms skirt that line between rain/snow....lots of times that means ice which is way worse than snow.

Not PP, but I also read that some locations would likely be getting record-breaking amounts of snow for this time of year. That's what they mean by "historic".

Well, Metro Access has been suspended as of 4pm Monday in anticipation of all the snow, so I'm fairly certain this won't be a nothing event...

I think they will be pretty confident for Monday's and Tuesday's forecast by Wednesday.

I just watched a forecast on the WaPo site with Jason Samenow from CWG and he's pretty sure the immediate DC area will get 4 to 8 inches. The video was posted an hour ago.
