I have found this to be a general old people thing. Obsessed with the weather.

Mine uses a disgusting back scratcher with old skin on it. In public areas.

Thanks for this dull and worthless post.

Sorry that you equate "dull and worthless" to "funny." Perhaps you should be using the internet to find a thesaurus, or at least a dictionary for the words I quoted.

NP but I wouldn't squeegee it either. They should use RainX. I also don't scrub their grout for them during my trips either.
My own mother used to ask me to do this too when I visited. So weird.
Also we used to stay at a beach house once in a while but stopped going because the owner had a serious list of rules. You can't touch this, you cant turn that on. You have to strip your bed linens and wash, dry and fold them before you leave. You had to fully wipe down all counters, vacuum the floor and dust. Like I'm sorry, but I'm on vacation. Don't rent out your space and ask me to do all the work when I'm done so you don't have too.
I'm confused by this. If it's an air bnb or vroom I always clean up before we go and ask that others do the same for my properties. Is this so much to ask? I thought it was normal protocol.
Not air bnb or vroom, just a typical rental beach house through a rental website. And yes dusting and vacuuming is too much to ask if I am paying you to stay there. Do you dust and vacuum in hotel rooms?

Anonymous wrote:I'm staying with my sister who has 3 kids under 5, and she and her husband keep disappearing, leaving us with all the kids. I don't mind every so often, but I came up here to visit her, and it would be nice to actually see her at some point. She doesn't come downstairs until after 10am (her baby sleeps in, but the older 2 are up by 7) then disappears for a 2 hour nap with her husband in the middle of the day without telling us. Yesterday both she and her husband left us with everyone for an hour so they could 'go pick up some dry cleaning.' No idea why that is a two-person job.
I'd be more sympathetic if the baby wasn't sleeping through the night, or she didn't have a full time nanny and get regular date nights and weekends away. Meanwhile, DH and I haven't had a date night in 6 months and are spending our limited vacation as the fill in nanny. I like my nieces and nephew, but If I clean her kitchen one more time I'm going to loose it.

FIL can't have a discussion with me, whatever I say he says the opposite and digs in. I end up walking away a lot.
Eating potato chips in a bedroom IS kind of gross. I understand where they are coming from.
