Trump did not tell the Russians they should hack into anything. You cannot hack into a non-existent server. This is rather basic. He said that if the Russians had the deleted emails they should release them - and in a tweet after the press conference he said they should release it to the FBI.
Semantics. Just stop.

How do you "invite" someone to hack things that have been deleted?
You do know that even "deleted" items are never truly gone off of a server and can be recovered, right?
I was going to say this. How can people not know that deleted emails can be recovered?
My question, why the uproar over “inviting” them to hack something they probably already have?
Think about what you are asking very carefully.... Forget that they may already have the emails....
A possible future President openly invited RUSSIA to HACK another possible future candiates email -
You don't see a problem with this? He is asking them to break the law. He is asking them to attack her and expose her, he's doing a Nixon a'la Watergate via the Russians but worse. He is openly telling them it is okay to be criminals and commit espionage.
How do you not see anything wrong with that?
Because he was being sarcastic. You all are really getting your panties in a wad about nothing. It was a joke. It was an attempt to remind the American people that Clinton deleted emails, after they were subpoenaed. And, he had gotten a ton of free press with this statement (and others). THAT was his goal.

You all are desperate.
You were so comfortable coronating your opponent, and you are seeing that she just might not win.
The election is not a given for the mighty Hillary and you all are just now discovering that.

I agree it was stupid--but, let's not forget where this issue really began.
No. The "book cover" thing only came out in 2012, a year AFTER Obama released his birth certificate. Also, it wasn't his book cover, it was a promotional document created by his publishing house back in 1991 without input from Obama. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/booklet.asp
Trying to pretend the birther movement stemmed from this document is flat-out revisionism. It stemmed from the fact that he was a Black man with a funny name and a foreigner for a father. Not, you know, a REAL American like John Sydney McCain III.
