Meera and Jojen's father saved Ned Stark's life during a battle before the timeframe of the show.

Yeah, I think Sam will be the one to discover that Jon is a Targarean (sp?)
Everyone will discover he is a targaryen when they burn his body next week. I'm guessing his friends will burn it before they go to fight (it was odd that the guys who stabbed him didn't burn it considering their white walker problem). Jon will be reborn and Melissandre will realize that Jon was/is the person she was looking for all along. He died, technically, so his oath is terminated and he can go find Dany and the third targaryen and ride the dragons to glory!
There's supposed to be a third one? Who might that be?
My favorite new theory is that Meera and Jon our twins separated at birth and we find out all about their true parentage when the do the Tower of Joy this season!
How much would it suck to have a twin brother who is prettier than you? Poor Meera.
I'm not sure I buy this theory, though. If Meera were that important, would Howland Reed have sent her as Jojen's protector? He sent them to Winterfell because of Jojen's dream about the three-eyed crow trying to save a chained-up wolf.
You make a good point! I found it interesting that they look somewhat similar...here is a link to the theory: http://mashable.com/2015/08/28/jon-snow-fan-theory/#Ga3.Q_G2rGqH

Could it be possible that the wolf dies and Jon wakes up?
Also, Ned said "next time I see you, I'll tell you about your mother" as they parted was. Of course Ned hasn't seen him again but, if Jon and Ned are both dead, could They have a convo on the other side? When Jon wakes up he knows his destiny?
Noooo! I cannot handle anymore direwolf deaths. Is Arya's still alive?
I think Jon will know he is targaryen but won't know how. I'm guessing that is where Sam comes in, but IIRC, there is still one person alive that could know who his real parents are (he was at the tower).
Yes, Arya's direwolf (Nymeria) is still alive and well, leading a pack of ordinary wolves on hunts in the Riverlands. Arya has dreamt about it from time to time, and there are a number of references to this marauding pack of wolves in the books.

Now, my guess is that Howland Reed (who has not appeared yet in the TV series) will tell Jon about his true parentage. But how does Tyrion find out about his???
Wait, what is Tyrion's true parentage?

What tower?
During the revolution Robert Baratheon lead against Crazy King Aerys (Dany's father), Prince Rhaegar (Dany's brother) was holed up in The Tower of Joy with Liliana Stark. Something happened there when Ned Stark attempted to rescue her. Liliana died. Everyone else who was there has died since, EXCEPT Howland Reed (father of Jojen and Meera who are with Bran).

I hadn't thought of that, but I do think that makes sense!
I would love this to be true.
This is really interesting, though I would sooner believe Syrio is J'quen than the waif. Now I want to back and re-watch the Syrio and J'quen scenes for clues.
The only thing that makes me think Syrio did die is that Ser Meryn lives through the battle with Syrio and I don't see Syrio running away from him.

Hmm. Interesting! That's a new one for me!
