I found this interview from GMA that includes a transgender woman professor, who apparently was in the interview. She comes in at about the 3 minute 19 second mark:

- if he says that he and Kris had a good sex life, does this mean he is comfortable with his body in some way? More specifically, will the changes he is pursuing change this? Does he expect to continue to sexual relationships with women? (Not that he would become attracted to men, I mean does he expect to find a woman who wants to be with him?)
- to the above, he mentioned a good sex life but also that he considers himself asexual (Diane Sawyer interview). This seems like a contradiction. What am I missing?
I thought he did a good job explaining that sexuality and gender identity are completely different. So he still felt sexual in terms of wanting the other person and being attracted to them. He just felt that way as a woman "in his soul." Perhaps now, it's more age than anything else, that being truly himself is more important than pursuing a sexual life? Not sure, just a guess. Also guessing that if he fully transitions and then pursues a relationship, it will be with a woman. Transitioning doesn't change whom you're attracted to.

LOL I wonder if she wants to be a cat. I've seen her transformation. Weird indeed, but I guess because she is allowed to do it, we must accept that she is not mental.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder is an actual disorder. But I don't think you want to learn anything, you just to poke fun at anything that doesn't comport with your own internal script and what you think is "normal."
I think there's a basic way of approaching life, and this is not a high bar to achieve at all. It goes like this. Try to live your life in a way that doesn't contribute to the suffering of others, mental, physical, emotional, etc. That's it. Pretty easy. So those of you making derogatory and flip comments like equating transgender people with wanting to be cats and puppies, think it all you want. But when you choose to post it here, for others who may be reading this thread with interest because they're going through the same thing, just know that you aren't achieving the low, low, incredibly low bar of living your life without contributing to the suffering and mental anguish of others. All so you can have your laugh. Sit with that for a while and see how it feels.
I want to reach through the computer and give you a high five right now. YES. its SO DAMN SIMPLE.

Reports are some of his kids are advising him to continue on his transition in private.
Now that's it's in the open, there is no lingering question about what is going on with Bruce Jenner. I wish he would retreat privately and not let this spectacle continue. I just wonder how other ordinary (not-famous) transgender people feel about all of this and if it is positive for the LBGT community.
How exactly is he supposed to go about retreating privately now? Even if he wanted keep the details private that cat done left the bag..
Go overseas, complete transition. Wasn't the first gender reassignment done in Denmark? It's not like he doesn't have the money to do it.

Why should he have to leave his home? Because you're uncomfortable? His family and friends are here.
I don't know, who said it? I thought the question was how could he go about retreating privately.
