But here, you went off the rails with the racist allegation. Crestwood used power politics to get what it wanted, and brought 16th Street Heights (a slightly different neighborhood than yours) along with it. You'd rather accuse critics of racism than admit you got yours. Buck up and be fine with a little inconsistency in your world-view, its the way the world works.

Won't DCI also have the yale or jail balance? Not sure what changes there. If people just want smaller they would do Hardy.

I don't know about any restrictions on WOTP -- but regardless, it wouldn't have to be WOTP. Somewhere in a .25 radius around 16th and Columbia would entice many parents slotted for Deal/Wilson, if it meant a smaller school community. A lot of folks have their eyes on what DCI is able to do; but that's not the only school that will see this move by Bowser as an opportunity to recruit a lot of high SES-ers.

Now, as a result of Bowser's seven-year-punt, even more overcrowding for Deal and Wilson, when those schools are already at their respective breaking points. This is a terrific opportunity for at LEAST one charter to step in and provide a relief valve for Deal/Wilson-bound parents who don't want to send their kids to gigantic schools. Will be interesting to watch.
