You are fine with Blacks being hired before whites, but you are frustrated that Affirmative Action doesn't apply to the executive level. Black college grads are often times frustrated when they have graduated from colleges that have open enrollments and they are not promoted when they are competing with graduates from elite universities. Some college degrees are worth more than others. In situations where a black and a white candidate have the same Harvard education and experience, the black candidate will be hired. In the same scenario if the two candidates had degrees from Virginia State University and the same experience the black candidate will be hired. Your frustration however occurs when a white candidate has a Harvard education, the black candidate has a Virginia State education and the white candidate is hired.
It's not any easier be white than it is to be black.

This sounds like it's more your issue than AA women. You need to work on being more secure in your decisions and less worried about what someone is thinking/saying. In actuality, you have no idea if your perceptions are real or imagined.
I think the PP's perceptions are real. Definitely think that they have been "testing" her.
I think they are real because I will get a sanity check from my other AA Friends and they will confirm, oh she's really sensitive, you can not be real with her, etc.
Also, especially at work, they will go to somebody and "vouch" for me. She is one of the good ones don't be like that to her.
I am not a sensitive person. So for 20 year I have have said to myself, okay, I don't understand what they have had to go through and I am not going to scare off that easy. I think most people are just going to walk away from that situation.
We need to come together not push each other away. I care but I am getting old and have less energy.
But I know the right thing to do is to be companionate.
Again, this sounds like an insecurity issue. Because of some issues with black folks at work, you have attributed this behavior to other blacks and wonder if they similarly question you.

BTW, do some research on how blacks who are college educated are unemployed at a great percentage to similarly educated white people. Also look up how white FELONS are hired at a greater rate than non-felon blacks. Then take a look around DCUM and see how many judge resumes by the names on them.

What you are asking for is for less qualified black candidates to be hired simply because they are black. As long as blacks claim to be victims and entitled to jobs for which they are less qualified than the competition, they will never be taken seriously.

Blacks only need to make themselves equal to the competition and they will get the job every time. Stop believing it is easy to be white. White people have to apply to colleges, internships, jobs and promotions. White people experience plenty of disappointments along the way. When white people compete on equal footing with blacks, blacks are hired first because companies want to balance their demographics. It's not any easier to be white than it is to be black.

I see you disregarded my point about position levels. It is fairly accurate to say that blacks are primarily relegated to admin/support positions. White women benefit the most from affirmative action. They are usually found in exec positions at a higher rate than minorities.
