i am with you. my DC was matched for K. it is hard because if the school had a strong few years behind it, i would not worry too much about the (temporary) lack of leadership. but with no history behind it, i am leaning towards not sending DC due to the black hole at the top.
I know it's hard with the lottery system the way it is now once your matched with a school your no longer elgible to participate in round2. With that being said if you have no other options and have to send your child to Sela I can personally say the K-team is awesome! We've enjoyed this year only because the teachers are great with the kids and my child has shown so much improvement with reading and math. The hebrew they have learned in such a short time is outstanding as well. I hope this easies your mind just a little...

I am thinking of sending my child to Sela and have been asking around and hearing very good things about it. I know there was this weird sock puppet situation on this thread and others, and clearly their PR leaves a lot to be desired. But no interactions with the school, current students or parents have been negative, so I'm choosing to take rip this thread with a grain of salt.
