WTF? Most of the schools on this list are in 4-season locales. Are you ruling out everything outside of California and Florida?

My Kenyon grad friend posted this on FB today. I have been there, and it's lovely, but number two, really? First is Elon third is Sewanee, plus 47 more.

Long hours indoors, lack of sunshine, overcast days -- for some people this does wear them down and even cause depression. My DC is one of those people and so weather is absolutely something we are taking into account.

Not true for everyone, of course, but college is a time when many young people deal with depression for the first time so it is something to keep in mind if you think your DC might be vulnerable.

I love winter. I also skied in college so was outside a lot anyway. Maybe there is self selection but both my college and grad school were in wintery places and they both seemed to attract winter sports enthusiasts so not too many people cooped up indoors.

Either Conn College or Duke. One very small and one quite large but both really beautiful. We have seen almost 30 colleges in 2 months (crazy I know)!

We recently visited. I had heard how it is so beautiful, but it didn't look any different from other campuses i have seen. And the little town (which is reaaly a street) is not cute or special at all. What gives? (DS really liked it, btw)

I'd rule out almost any campus north of the DC area because of the weather and lack of sunlight during the academic year

Obviously the answers will be subjective. This thread is asking people what their idea of the most beautiful college campus is. Are you actually suggesting there should be one right answer and all the rest are wrong? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
