Just a small thing, but I have been short with my kid when she kept getting out of bed at night for just one more hug, or more water, or whatever. Lately, I don't seem to mind anymore and hugs and snuggles have been taking the place of arguments over bedtime. Thanks in large part to you, OP! Sending you hugs and prayers for peace.

Just a note to say that I signed up for the donor registry after reading your story. I've already sent back my kit and got the email this morning that they received it. I have every intention of following through if I am a match for someone.

I too will sign up to be a marrow donor. I had considered it before, but reading this thread makes it clear how important it is to follow through. Thank you to the PP who posted the link.

I am visiting my parents this weekend and watching my toddler play with my mother right now. For some reason, it made me think of you and I checked in to DCUM to let you know I'm thinking of you.
