Are there Top colleges accepting students who didn't take the AP exams and done extremely well?

Frankly if they are accepting kids without prefect AP sores then thats ridiculous. The vast majority of kids who apply to these colleges are very privileged. These kids have access to all kind of resources imaginable. If they can't even do well on AP tests frankly they don't deserve to be admitted. It's such a low bar to cross given all the resources they have.

The kids who need the extra help generally are not coming from a place of privilege, instead the complete opposite.

Very curious how JHU RD admits do with Ivies.

Reporting back: Went 0/5 on Ivies. Rejected at Harvard, Yale (did interview), and Penn. Waitlisted at Columbia and Cornell. So, a JHU RD admit can do poorly with Ivies

Despite going 0/5 on Ivy Day, I'm happy because I felt that the college application process has brought me and my kid closer than ever. I'm excited to see her excitement in connecting with future JHU freshmen on Instagram, talking about what she needs for her dorm room, and looking up academic opportunities available at the school.

My Kid got rejected by JHU but in at Columbia, Dartmouth and waitlisted at Cornell. Go figure, its a lottery theses days if you have high stats and the ECs.

That's great on all fronts. Your DC will love JHU

your kid got into HYP with a max of pre-calc? that's unusual.

huh? do you actually have an Ivy kid? I do and there are a LOT of stragglers. My child is a peer tutor and math grader and says that easily 25% of the class arrives not being proficient in single variable calculus.

Calculus is not required for admission yo Ivy. We need to keep stop spreading this misinformation… it’s what’s causing the whole race to nowhere. DC in HYP without calculus.
