2016G PA1 beat 2015 White team in the last game. The Div 1 U11 NCSL schedule and score is not updated. If updated, they would tie for third place, ahead of the other two 2016 teams and ahead of many of the other 2015 teams. Think they did fine playing up.

Yeah cuz they brought 2015s and benched their 16s.

How many 15s?

Two 2015 players added to twelve 2016 players for 9v9 games.

2-3 nearly every game, got more playing time then some of their rostered players. Which actually is fine if playing with them allowed the girls to progress on what they practiced during the week with technically more experienced teammates. Was a good example of playing up and developing the rostered team even if players had less playing time. Quite effective and they improved (albeit with 2015 assistance)
from this decision to play up with guests.

I’m not a fan of the coach though. Easily 5+ substitutions to the opposite side of the field only in the last 3 minutes of a game to prevent opponents from tying or taking the lead in normal weather conditions - so not quick water breaks. Gets points in the standings maybe, but not a strategy I condone.

Agree 100%. Arlington is a joke.

This also shows how just a year extra (of soccer and growing) is such a leg up. Yet, Arlington kept all its younger PA1&2 kids up on high teams with the age change and pushed older kids onto lower teams.

This is not true for all of the PA teams, at least on the girls side.

That said, I’m very curious if they keep having the teams play up next year. The difference in size of girls at u-11 and u-12 can be enormous! Has this always been how they placed the girls at this age or was it a relatively new development when they made the PA teams a couple years ago?

It’s not true on the boys side either. Whoever posted that the older kids are pushed down to lower teams must have an outlier.

The lowest the PA1 2015 girls were pushed was PA2; the lowest the PA2 2015 girls were pushed was Red. Older 2014 kids moved up one team level or stayed on the same color.

Sounds like they were cannon-fodder. Hopefully next season they re-evaluate.
