Does anybody see even the faintest physical resemblance between the actress & Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg?

I don't think Grace resembles Caroline but I think she did a great job with the posture and mannerisms, and did a good job of capturing Caroline's practicality and guardedness. I also think the styling is pretty good:

The styling IS good but I think they portray Caroline is a stuffy bore with zero personality or inner joy whatsoever. Being guarded does not mean you are like that especially when with loved ones.

I actually do think Caroline is kind of stuffy and boring. She is not the kind of person who is going to roaring with laughter at a party or making witty double entendres with her friends. I say this because it is also what I am like, and like recognizes like. Some people really are just reserved and somewhat quiet, and people who are very guarded tend to still be somewhat guarded even with family. Where do you think we learned the value in being guarded? Growing up in our families.

I do think the show does a good job of portraying how Caroline chose a specific life for herself when she selected her husband, and ultimately what she comes to value -- family, stability, predictability. This appears to be a realistic portrayal of who she is as a person. Also, as in real life, her husband is clearly stuffier and more dreary than she is, and you can feel this in the scenes where they are together. But in the scenes between Caroline and John, you do feel a different side of her, especially when she is giving him practical advice about Carolyn (and Daryl) -- you sense that she is also a very direct person who, with family, does not pull punches or baby people. All of this feels very much in keeping with Caroline's public image and what we know about her. I think it's a likable portrayal, even if it doesn't go out of it's way to flatter her.

Both parties were daft. This is why his mother prohibited him from pursuing flying small aircrafts while she was alive. She understood something about his lack of judgement.

I don’t ever think I’ve seen a photo of her even wearing any nail polish (she barely wore recognizable make up). She certainly wouldn’t be getting matchy-matchy manicure with her dress color. Come on. Do you believe everything you read?

I’m pretty skeptical of her, but yeah this sounds like something a middle-aged man would make up.

Also *#{*% was Jr really not instrument-rated??!?

He promised CBK that his instructor would be on that flight, and I guess the instructor didn't show up, and somehow he talked CBK into getting on the plane against her judgment. She repeatedly refused to fly with him because he was careless and she knew it. This was an exception for a wedding. He was just so entitled that he believed rules didn't apply to him, including flight rules.

Don't think that's accurate. An instructor offered to fly with him and John declined. Which makes it so much worse.

I actually think the actress captures her likeness remarkably well. Her shaggy hair, her walk, her voice. I agree Daryl Hannah is supremely irritating and whiny in this show, but job well done on the actor’s part.

The actors portraying Carolyn B and John don’t capture their essence at all. And of course Naomi Watts playing Jackie is a joke. Terrible casting.

The Daryl Hannah portrayal is a hoot. It is not flattering but probably accurate. She was probably very Hollywood-New Age.

How’d she end up married to Neil Young?

I think she is a stuffy bore! I remember when there was talk of her running for office in New York. She was hyped up and then did some interviews. She was awful snd that idea went out the window. I don't think she's very interesting. She doesn't seem like a bad person and seems to have survived incredible tragedies with grace, but she does seem boring and dull.

Yes, total womanizer who cheated on every woman he was ever with. I really hate how Carolyn has been demonized. He was a terrible, spoiled partner who would have driven anyone crazy.

Does anyone else feel like the actor playing JFK jr is not doing a great job portraying him?

He comes across as too meek and nice. Whereas interviews I have seen of JFK jr show him as being really confident and slightly cocky.
