Too much stress. I’ve done this ED nonsense with 2 kids now.

I’m handling child number three completely differently. Not building up the process of finding a dream school. We will be very much downplaying the importance of finding some elusive perfect fit for her. Just find a couple options that are doable for her where she’ll be happy and not reach for some brass ring.

+2. Mine also strongly believes that they are in despite the fact that they tell me that there are at least other 10 ED applications from their school. I hope they will get over the rejection quickly if that is the outcome. I am not worried about rejection, but I am worried about their mental health.

I wish your child well but definitely strange to be overconfident with 10 other ED applications from their school. Hope it works out for them.

My kid is buzzing. He was very excited to tell me about the email notifying when decisions will be released. He’s been happier than usual this week. Older brother is also home from college now, so it could be that.

I’m a nervous wreck because I just want this to be all done and I have ptsd from when my older kid was deferred in the early round and it made for an awful drawn out process until
April. I am, of course, not showing any of this emotion to him.

Yes! Our kid is an arts major so there has been so much more than any of my other kids. When he finished his extra extra essays- including a 5 pager- and uploading all his portfolio work and then writing the music they assigned him to write - we bought an ice cream cake and sang to him. 🎂 These kids have worked so hard and we are celebrating ours.

DC's ED school announced their day/time admissions release (this Thursday) so I think they are cautiously optimistic while knowing they have a few more days.

DC got a likely letter from the ED school. He also receive a letter from a EA school suggesting a change from EA to ED. The wait is almost over!

Yes-all the EA schools send constant emails-don’t forget to apply to scholarships/do this/come visit/this is what xyz school is like. BUT ED school nothing since App in end of October!!
