EM got his head handed to him. Lol
Travel soccer parent. EM completely mismanaged this. He first angered a heck of a lot of us with his Edge $1000 team fees. Then he got greedy and nominated too many people. Then he expected us to vote for his slate. What a joke. No one trusts him. And I support getting rid of all the other sports.
So you support getting rid of other sports that 1000s of kids participate in?
We were just told the optional EDGE training would only be $220 for 11 sessions. Which is a great value over the other training options in this area, which run closer to $40 per session. And it is optional, except for the 1st teams U13-U19... which to be honest, is a great deal for year round prioritized team indoor training space.
Secondly, 'getting rid of the other sports' is a complete mischaracterization. That is not the same as dividing SYC into SYC Soccer and SYC All other sports, it would be easier to manage if that were the case. No one wants to remove options for kids playing sports, it's just becoming an organizational management problem.

However, the commissioners do set the pay for the office staff. Anyone ever ask how much they make?
this would transparent as SYC is non-profit. just ask around and you should get an answer. if not, then there is much more issues. SYC do not want to get IRS involved.

We all know it’s bs that clubs use their rec teams to get the best fields for travel.
Not true for all clubs. Arlington does a great of ensuring rec and travel get good fields

Don’t think you can draw any conclusions from who showed up. We got multiple messages from our travel coach about voting. I voted online from work (not the way they wanted me to, though).

Interesting question. The board should have a conflict of interest policy each Director has signed governing this. Without much context I would say it would definitely be a conflict of interest.
