There are certainly a lot of mixed messages being sent by the current administration. I feel sorry for all the public employees, including LEO and military, who have to interpret them.

The Marines aren’t exactly busy these days.

Marines did not sign up to go out and terrorize Americans. They signed up to protect this country.

People are violently attacking the government, the Marines are being called in to protect the government workers.

Domestic is for civil war, like the Confederates. Not freaking protesters. If this were the Biden administration sending Marines in to deal with the hateful and abusive assault at abortion clinics, you'd be horrified.

However, if you can, do a little searching and reading, you’ll discover that 99.99% of the people in LA are just going about their business. Eating at restaurants (that still have employees), going to work, being stuck in traffic. There is no emergency that requires the presence of the military. Are people mad? Of course, they see their neighbors and employees and student parents and students being abducted and sent away. People are RIGHTFULLY mad. However, there is no riot that needs to be put down by force. This is a creation of Trump, please and simple.

I have the feeling (and have read interviews with veterans backing this up) that the Marines hate it, too. From what I understand the NG was sent for 29 days instead of 30 so that fewer benefits have to be paid. They are sleeping on the ground with no food while the scummy ICE agents sleep in hotels, probably ordering room service. Now the military gets to go be errand boys for them?
