They should have thought about that before sneaking into our country.
No, they aren't. They are going after kids, grandmothers, people with proper work visas, people working through the system legally etc. They haven't come close to doing what you are falsely suggesting. Not.Even.Close.
yup....and not showing their identification.
Are they even going after specific people who are known to be in the US illegally or are they raiding businesses in the hopes of catching someone? I have a problem with it if it’s the latter.
I haven’t read the whole thread, but what is their reasoning behind masking their faces and not showing ID? People impersonating police is not unheard of.
Democrats want to Doxx federal workers. You do understand that’s why ICE agents wear masks, right?
No. That’s why I asked the question.
Don’t people have a right to ask for an officer’s name and badge number?l if they have been stopped or are being arrested?
You can ask for whatever you want, but federal officers have no obligation to provide their name and badge number.
If that’s true then how does one verify that they are being detained or arrested by an actual federal agent? I can see a situation where someone defends themself (see the previous “stand your ground”) because they feel they are in danger.
How does stating a name and badge number allow an arrestee to verify anything while being arrested?
A lot of them look to me like those Proud Boys that ride around in UHaul trucks.

The majority of Americans want the deportation of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.
No, they shouldn’t be detaining or deporting USCs, but there are bound to be a few errors like that. Those individuals should be released (or transferred to other authorities if they have committed crimes). The possibility of those errors happening is not reason enough to stop the deportations. If we are always afraid of making mistakes, then nothing will ever get done.
Funny how people like Musk and Melania, who both worked here illegally at one point, are not seen as having broken immigration laws, but working-class brown people are.

That is Darwin at work. If you decide to play chicken with a vehicle on the road, be prepared to lose.

So you’re fine with people kidnapping people? Just go with anyone grabbing you?
I’m telling you what the law is. I’m not making a normative statement about it.
That’s fine, but that’s what people are resisting. The terror of it. It’s hard to understand the legality of four guys in sweatshirts, with no badge, face covered, no marked car, no warrant grabbing you on the street. If you don’t go, you’re “resisting arrest.” You’re basically telling people to ignore their instincts.
How do you know you’re not being abducted? How does it differ from human trafficking?
I don’t think they are all federal agents. Some of the vehicles don’t even have government plates. They have regular state plates.
That’s typical for federal law enforcement. My DH is a federal LEO and his work vehicle has plain Virginia plates. We don’t live in Virginia.
How would someone know he’s legit?
If he was out doing something (vs in the office) he’d be (God willing) wearing a plate carrier that says POLICE and his agency on it. Otherwise, he wears a badge on his hip, but it is covered by his shirt, which is required to conceal his firearm. He works for a plain clothes agency.
It’s sad that you even have to explain this.
You would think that people in DC would know of plainclothes and under cover law enforcement
Being aware that there are plainclothes and law enforcement is different from being questioned, detained, or arrested by unidentified persons.
Just because they don’t identify themselves to YOU doesn’t mean they don’t identify themselves to the person they are arresting.
You people are batshit crazy.
