While I like Joy, I hate that Miranda is always like a dog in heat: gay bar, waitress, Joy…literally any female. It made her seem shallow when there is a lot they could have done with her.

LTW’s story is boring. Her kids’ stories are boring (how many songs does her kid need to sing)?

I absolutely cannot stand Seema. Entitled, holier than thou, and is not a good Samantha replacement.

Harry is terrible, too. Prostate cancer is diagnosed with a scheduled biopsy after blood test results. He wouldn’t have told her he was having a biopsy?

Charlotte's kid who was dating the dancer…all she does is pout. Giuseppe’s accent is horrible and he is not a good actor.

Very little - imo - that is likable. But I guess many subsequent seasons or series in a movie are like that. The cloning of the original has gone horribly wrong here.

Also, I keep remembering when Steve was dating Debbie and Miranda realized that she loved him and wanted to be with him. Also, in Season 1 of SATC, Miranda was set up on a blind date with Syd, who was a lesbian. They had fun playing softball at the company event, and later Miranda kissed Syd to confirm that she wasn't interested in women. Her friend group certainly was open to the idea and would have supported her (Samantha dated a woman for a while, and Charlotte kind of flirted with the idea when she was hanging out with the gay ladies in the art world). I just didn't find it believable in AJLT that Miranda is leaving Steve and has suddenly, after years and a child, realized she IS a lesbian. That just wasn't the same Miranda. I know Cynthia Nixon has a lot of input in forming the character of Miranda in AJLT, but she's created a wholly new Miranda who doesn't resemble the SATC Miranda at all.

Carrie has not matured or grown at all. She's still selfish, but it's a much worse look on an almost 60 year old than it was on young Carrie who was still growing as a person in SATC.

It bummed me out the way Marcus was dropped. The relationship was faltering and I suppose no way to bring him back now, but he and Stanford were so much more appealing than Stanford and Anthony. I agree Giuseppe is a weak substitute. I'm tired of seeing so much of Bitsy, at least show us how her kid turned out. And bring back other OG characters! NYC is basically a small town. Would be so much fun to see how some of those characters ended up. Certainly Trey and Smith should make appearances. How about Skipper? Or at least be mentioned in convos as fun little callbacks.
