How does she do her hair that bad every time?

Withdrawing from current activities, isolating, intensely dissing her Mom, no sign of a BFF let alone a girl crew.... Hmmmm. Now I'm interested.

NP. Tori may well have major depression or social anxiety. But I'll bet they figure this out, get her on some meds cocktail, and she goes to Princeton after all. That's just how these shows roll.

She is a selfish and clueless princess.

No

The above is 90% of gray divorces

The work addict father who neglects his wife and kids to do his personal hobbies and work 24/7 and has no relationship or connection with them. Believes being an egotistical Paycheck Provider is the end of be all of his life’s demands.

She, also working but solely raising the children and maintain the home/staff, divorces him once they kids are older and independent. She may still be in love with how he was before these adult responsibilities, the ones he cannot and will not handle.

Once the kids are launched, by other adults, he reverts back to bachelors days. Or worse.

I hope she falls flat on her face as she sneers at her family, at least until she realizes how enormously privileged and fortunate she is to have two parents who love her dearly.

I can't stand that kind of snotty sanctimony. If I were her parents, I'd say she doesn't have to go to Princeton, but she has to either go to another college or get a job. Immediately.

So she doesn't want to have a Princeton degree yet be aimless, divorced, incredibly materialistic, and have vapid friends? Sounds about right to me. Now she doesn't need to be that cruel to her mother, however. You can dislike her choices but she's still the one who always took care of you, not "fun dad."

I also wonder if she doesn't blame her mom for the divorce. Mom did cheat after all. Even if she was lonely in the marriage, Coop did not deserve her hooking up with a close friend. Teens don't tend to be forgiving in those scenarios.

Quite frankly, mom is not momming. Look how she conducts herself in public, she engages in aggressive physical fights and confrontations (which cost her her job) and is probably on her way to being an alcoholic. Tori’s delivery comes off bratty, but she is keeping it real and is a great judge of character, her Princeton interview monologue was 100% true. Tori is an independent thinker and pioneer, she wants to do it different. Good for her.

I think Tori is awful. The way she knew she would be accepted by Princeton - I so wish she had instead been rejected.

Does Coop's sister Ally annoy anyone else? I find her almost revolting.

Yup, I thought the same about his dad so I looked it up. Michael O’Keefe is 71 and Jon Hamm is 55. So, technically, he could be his dad…

A 16 yo dad? Meanwhile, Coop's mother actually looks old. The dad was a really poor casting decision.

I agree, I thought he was an older brother at first.

No, just because they actually seem like a halfway happy couple who have each others back. I feel like they are the healthiest couple on the show.
