I’ll take fun and fellowship over vanity. Age comes for all of us eventually.

Except for the psychosis.

Been doing it for 30+ years. No psychosis yet.

Wine has been in decline for years. Look at Tequila. Look at Surfside. Look at Guinness.

Kids get their dopamine off scrolling on their iPhones. And also kids can communicate with friends and opposite sex on their phones 24/7.

I think it's a mix of being health-conscious and prices being too high. House wine at a not even nice place is now $8. It just feels stupid.

And men don't want a beer belly, college kids are into working out and healthy living, women are more aware of peri/menopause issues and how drinking does not help with those.

I get the worst nights sleep now after drinking even a small amount. Drinking is reserved for very rare occasions once or twice a month - and only because I really do enjoy it. The ruined next day is a steep price.

I’m in my 60s. I felt like I reached my maximum lifetime consumption of alcohol so I stopped. Also, I have heart disease.
But I really miss a good wine buzz from a bottle of Chardonnay. Our dining out bill is significantly lower even when I order the most expensive meal on the menu. And I lost weight.
