Trump can’t speak eloquently for 12 minutes. Camera, man, woman, TV, Sharks, electrocution, covfefe, Biden, hold my ketchup.

He was amazing. I am in awe of his sheer effort (in his 50s like me!) and will to break through all the apathy and shed light on what Trump's policies are doing to the country. He quoted Republicans and Democrats alike who oppose Trump's policies and actions.

I am inspired and so is my teen son who watched part of it with me last night and tonight.

I love what he said after 24 hours on his feet - no food and no bathroom breaks - about beating Strom Thurmond's record for longest senate floor speech. He reminded us that Thurmond was motivated by wanting to filibuster the civil rights act from passing. Booker said he didn't do this just to beat his record. He wasn't sure how long he'd be physically able to keep standing and speaking when he started.

Booker said after the record was broken:

"Thurmond lost and the American people who fought him won. I'm not here because of Thurmond's speech, I'm here despite it."

I got chills. While Booker was speaking, Trump gutted the CDC and FDA. We all need to take a note from CB and act. This matters.

Hooray for Booker.

I like the way you think.

Booker covered it all and it’s officially recorded. Johnson cancelled voting for the week. Maybe another Dem Senator can disrupt the rescheduled vote.

Exactly what bill was he filibustering?

Use your feeble brain and read the entire thread. He was not filibustering but making a floor speech. This was explained over and over!

So op is a liar?

No you’re annoying. I hope Tammy Duckworth goes next. In her wheelchair. After losing her legs in combat. So you can’t FOIA gripe about how she didn’t stand while she talked.

It wasn’t a filibuster. It was a speech from the Senate floor.

It did delay the Senate from taking other action today until after 8pm, which delayed the confirmation of the NATO ambassador.

It seems like Cory likes the grandiose media attention. I tried to avoid the narcissist word, but there’s no other word for Cory. The man needs peace in his soul.

Go soak your head in trump's gold toilet.

Yeah, PP. Don’t ruin this for the Dems. This is their moment!

Courageous Congress!
congress is so great, and is designed to bring all state interests to the table. Every state is important.

Regardless of where you stand, having minority party representation of the people in congress is an important part of our system.

And what have you done?

I’d like to think I listen a bit more than I talk. But then again, I’m not one of you.

Perhaps that’s another reason why you’re so out of touch with America.

Good riddance.

And yet here you are. Yapping on a mom’s board. So ???

Well one of you is a fool. DCUM with vote and get back to you only which one (spoiler alert— it’s not Cory Booker). Bye-bye!

Dear Mr Musk:
Hope you get to sit in on congress while you are in DC. They can do delightful things. You see, for 250 years, America put a lot of rules in place. We have “checks and balances.” It’s sort of fundamental. It’s designed to avoid monarchies and single person decision making, you see. All the rules and institutions are in place so that one rich guy doesn’t show up one day and rearrange things to his liking .

Don’t worry dear Mr Musk . You see, the nations capital (regardless of the city) and its representatives of the people have been around for a long while. We have been through many bumps along the way. We alway seem to find our way and preserve. Though civil war and civil strife. We are the people after all. We will move on after you leave.

Other than the very fact of his speaking, what is it that he *said* that bothered you?
