If you’re rich and powerful, the Republican position will work for you. You’ll get access. But if you’re just a run-of-the-mill trans person without a lot of wealth or power, the Democrats will help you get the access you seek.

Both parties want men to have access to girls’ locker rooms. The choice is how far each party wants to democratize that access.
