If we blame Biden, we don’t have to change. We don’t have to reckon with the Covid stuff, the trans stuff, the inflation stuff, the corruption stuff. We can just hope the voters who abandoned us suffer economically, and then we can just win with Buttigieg or whoever. No self-reflection necessary, no policy changes necessary.

I had to check out because my anxiety was rendering me paralyzed. I don't read the news anymore. I personally feel powerless and I'm just grateful that I'm still employed, we saved for our kids' college and our house is paid off. Keeping my world small. Getting back into gardening.
