That’s not true. Take the 2029s; outside of DC teams, not one AS team was better than its AA counterpart. Bmore was better than MD Red, all of the top PA players played for Philly in AA, most of the upstate girls were at AA. Long Island was split between the two events, however, with YJ kids choosing AS and 91 Roar choosing AA. And I saw what the older classes had up at AA as well, definitely more talent there.
If you look at 27’ and 28’ years. Which is really the only ones that matter at this point. The better players were at AS across all regions. AA did have some of the better players out of MD choose that event in those grad years.
