Yep. I'm in your camp. But instead of figuring out how to adjust, no, it'd double down on what got us slaughtered.
First I think you're confusing entertainers with a political party and to what exactly was so quote unquote woke about the awards? You're going to have to elaborate. Use your words
dp, who doesn't agree with pps, BUT Chappell Roan presents as a drag queen. I don't know if that is woke, but it made me go hmmm....

Country radio is a major gatekeeper for who can enter the market as per past major country music stars who are women. It isn't the best arbitrator for the best music.
Beyoncé’s version of Jolene was do ear-splittingly bad that I had no interest in anything else on that album.
It’s always seemed that of the major awards the Grammy awards were the least aligned with reality and most susceptible to either being bought or used to virtue signal.
And giving a bunch of awards to Kendrick Lamar for an obscenity-laden rant at Drake? Gross. Guess we can look forward to another generation casually dropping the n-word and the f-word into every other conversation. I don’t ever want to hear another complaint about kids of any race using the n-word when Hollywood saturates popular culture with this crap. [/quote]
Yes. A rap diss calling one of the biggest artists in the business (Drake) a pedophile won 5 Grammys. I hope Lamar performs it at the SB halftime. There is a "clean" version of the song for more delicate listeners. The song has a life of its own at this point. Even middle aged white women, like myself, know and love the song.

Agree with this, but I also enjoyed Sabrina’s performance – while vocally it may not have been the best of the night, It was humorous, fun and cute – brought some good energy to the beginning of the show.

It’s a sublime song but this cover made me want to see the original band perform
