How is a sentencing from an incident (bunches of threatening emails) in 2020 relevant to why the government should still providing him with 24 hr security? Covid is over. It’s been over. He hasn’t worked in his role since 2022. I’m not seeing a compelling case for continued security on the tax payers dime

What goalposts? He was actively working for the government in 2020 when this occurred and had security provided. He left his job in 2022. He had security provided for 5 yrs past when those threats occurred and 3 yrs after stopping down. No, he doesn’t get lifetime security from the government.

And he still has security. It’s just not taxpayer funded to the tune of $15 million for life, as his former position in government doesn’t warrant that.
