Capital has never had a lot of team training. Those prior teams had great players BEFORE they got to Capital. This is why Capital needs to start in 8th grade at a minimum.

Agree. They had so much talent between those two teams and now it’s just me ball non-stop.

You will need to calibrate your expectations.. 2025 was ranked #1 and 2026 was ranked #7 at the height of their recruiting summers with most players starting on HS team since freshman year.... That is NOT the case for the 2027 Blue team...... It is nice that you would be “okay” with the dream that your kid will attend same schools as any of the 2025/2026 committs. GOOD LUCK! Sept 1 will be here soon enough! I hope your dreams come true I really do.

The difference between those 2 teams and the current Capital team is that those teams had 4 or 5 superstars with top 10 talent, while the current Capital team doesn't have one. I'd argue the balance of the roster are pretty similar.

Despite all its flaws (and I agree they are flaws, especially around communication), Capital has a solid model which gets all of its players maximum looks. Will some years be down? Yes. However, that is more of a function of the player development which occurs before they get to high school.

If you look at this past weekend at LFTC, Capital had 40-50 coaches watching at least one half of every game and played on the top fields for maximum exposure. Yes, we went 2-2, but the 2 games we lost were against teams who barely played their bench. Sure, we could have played our starters the entire game and won, but that really isn't the point anymore.

It's probably a little further drive, but maybe look into Icarus Lacrosse. As with all of them, it may not be a fit with everyone, and I had heard he tried to fly too close to the sun as well.

I genuinely don’t understand how everyone still fawns all over Capital and how Capital gets away with terrible communication and a severely outdated website.

May the injury gods be good to you and your daughter. Hero’s 26 had so many injuries recruiting year. It can be a tough pill to swallow, but the timing of injuries really matters. Also the irony since Cap on the academic and “fit” high horse a lot, did you even consider maybe they didn’t get an offer from the academic caliber school that fit them? Good for them for not just taking offers that didn’t suit them. Basically two girls uncommitted and I get you think you know it all, but in fact it shows you don’t.

Everyone on Capital Blue will get offers from schools. Whether they want to take them is another story. Many girls can get into pretty good schools on academics alone, so may not make sense to attend an “average” school just to play lacrosse.

Nobody said otherwise. The difference is a Cap propagandist went out of their way to infer otherwise about Hero's out of the "blue". Which the PP was helpfully pointing out.

Meantime, it was in response to someone simply asking them to clarify how many girls had been moved off one of their teams. After they said it was a lot. Hero's hadn't been mentioned. Cap is a hoot.
