Motorcycles
Marathon once or twice is fine but not every year
Bicycling as commuting - stresses me out - American cities unfortunately are not designed for that

All you women saying video games - so unnecessarily limiting. My husband loves video games. He plays online with friends and alone. Now that we have kids, probably only 1 or 2 nights a week for a few hours after the kids go to bed.

He also does half the childcare, half the kid logistics, half the emotional labor, half the housework, is an amazing partner and father, is fun, social, loving, faithful, kind, and super cute.

Almost all dudes under about 45 who were nerdy in high school play video games. They are great catches as adults!

I suspect you're just tossing that out here to be funny, but -- the hottest man I know is a serious Civil War reenactor. Not a deal breaker at all. Looks fantastic in uniform, and is pretty expert but never a bore about it. I only wish he did more reenactments because he's worth watching in them.

I did say it to be funny but I also did actually decline a second date 20 years ago after learning the guy was a Civil War reenactor. He was plenty good looking but I couldn't see past the obsession that I found very odd. I could have handled him being a Civil War historian as a profession or a hobbyist but I can't relate to being so passionate about it that you dress up and act it out.

But really the only nonstarters for me would be video games and D&D type bs. No gamers, thanks.

Sounds incredibly sexist. Glad you dodged that bullet.

Well my female friends and I who ride have our own money so it's not like we're trying to spend our husband's salaries on our hobby. (We all work, FWIW). And actually, caring for an animal makes you less self-involved than most people, but ok. I wouldn't be married to someone who didn't support my riding, just as I'm sure my husband wouldn't want to be married to someone who didn't support his hobby.
