This is so rude of those parents. I'm with OP and the parents posting on here that this is okay behavior need to realize that they are equally rude.

There could have been an accident on the way that caused a traffic jam. It is also possible they were late because they forgot. When something is out of your routine, it is so easy to let the time slip. Though, you sound insufferable and perhaps lack empathy.

Get a life OP. You like the drama it seems. It’s over so move on. Letting it get to you is stupid. Stress will kill you.

My mother was always the last one to pick me up from a party/event. Always. I hated it it, and so did the host.

They're not even that important, but they're more important than the epic triviality of what op is whingeing about or validating whether 1 or 2 people are wasting their lives pearl clutching about absolutely nothing but ultimately leaving the world a little worse than when they found it.
