OP here. This is how the real world works. Many women look to a man as a provider. Most men feel the sense that they need to be the provider. I’m surprised older people on this forum don’t understand that or understand men. No wonder there are so many unhappy bitter women on this thread.
You sound like a real peach. No older women are not unhappy or bitter. I would rather be alone with a bear than you. Btw, I've been happily married for thirty years so not bitter, alone or unhappy.
But if you were dating MY daughter I would encourage her to say NOPE
OP here. I’m just saying like it is. I’ve been on this forum for about 2 weeks before posting. I noticed most of the threads are about cheating, how much women hate their husbands, and how unhappy they are in their marriage and want a divorce. I also realized majority of people on this thread are middle aged women.
Women who are happy don't post about how happy they are. But, older women do have every right to be bitter considering how men have been treating women for years. But, no we have to have a smile on our face as we are raped, murdered or cheated on.
I hope your gf says no. I am not encouraging my dds to marry. It is a bad deal for them.
OP here. You’re dramatic. Men are the majority victims of violent crime. Women also cheat just as much as men. Next.
You just outed yourself, troll.

How so? The OP is everything women in this area want short of being filthy rich. He has his financial house in order, has his career figured out so as not to interfere with family life, and is basically family ready the moment this woman is ready herself. He doesn't really have any sexist views, it moreso seems to be impolite for a man to point out that at the end of the day, women still want the husband to fill traditional husband roles (provider/higher income).
OP have you ever watched women watching bachelorette where the show is basically in the background and they're all just tweeting reactions? That's all this thread was lol

I don't see any bitterness on this thread. Most women want an equal partner. Only some want a "provider" like a child. I am 11 years older than you and even men 20 years older than you often don't think in such black and white terms. You think most women in an area like DC who are educated and have their own careers are looking for a man to save them and want to be financially dependent on them? Think again. There is a reason that the average age of marriage for women is the highest in DC out of the entire United States. Yes, women appreciate an income but they usually want someone equal to or more than they make. They are not looking for someone to be a "provider" like you think. You are 35 but sound 65. You are in for a rude awakening for a modern marriage.
