correct on all points. the reason that the incident is getting more attention than you might expect is that the coach and the program are well known, and the incident is consistent with the reputation. if it happened involving two teams other than Indy, there probably would be less focus. but it was bad enough that it would be getting at least some attention in any event.

If the ref filed a report and VHSL got involved it could be a league imposed suspension. If VHSL did not get involved it could just be a team disciplinary issue. No way to tell without inside knowledge.

He was going to get his goalie and a player got in the way? He was doing wind sprints after the game because his coach did not think he hustled enough? I heard the ref did not throw a flag so it was only a brush not a slash. Get over it and move on

If you watch the video, the ref DID throw the flag

OK now I really do not believe you. why would a ref throw a flag after the game is over? A time served penalty cannot be enforced on the next game. That does not even make sense. You are just making this up. Others asked you post a video or then just let it go

Prince William dad here - we pulled up the tape, and the player veered slightly, pulled his one arm back slightly, and whipped the stick one-handed across the other players arm. A cheap shot.

It's a cheap shot when it happens behind the play during regular game action. It's completely unacceptable and entirely beyond the pale when it happens after game is over, teams are getting their respective goalie and about to line up for the (ostensible) post-game sportsmanship handshake. Is there no requirement to teach proper sportsmanship these days? No action = condoning this for any other player who sees/saw it.

I am an official but not at this game. It is not any official who determines a suspension. An official can make a report. After the game is ended a coach can and should report any incident to their AD. That is all
