I think it's funny that Trump and his lawyers are essentially arguing that the sitting president is above the law and cannot be bound by laws for actions that are at the "outer perimeter of his executive responsibility". If the court truly upholds that the sitting POTUS has presidential immunity, he is making it legal for Biden to lawfully detain him as a threat to national security and a known terrorist instigator and threat. So Trump can be detained and held as they investigate his ties to known terrorist groups including the ones that have already been prosecuted and found guilty of sedition.

So, Trump will be giving blank slate protection to Biden to detain Trump during the Presidential election campaign. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees.

Totally agree POTUS should NOT be above the law but in the real world..

Let us all face it and say it with me - if you have the money and the power.... you can get away with quite a bit. Quite a number of laws (only until you are caught red-handed which assuming you have enough money + power, that isn't actually possible).

There are a lot of people who are above the law, the President not excepted.

And what Trump is in trouble for - he doesn't find it to be a big deal which is why we're having an open trial about it. The dirt with Epstein - you have NO IDEA how many with money and power incl I'm guessing Presidents - have been above the law.
