Addiction affects people from all walks of life. Even humble ones.


Yes, I feel so sad for him and Britney Spears. Clearly, money made it so they could live in luxury, but didn’t bring them happiness and security. We parents are so stressed about grades, college, etc, but really the bottom line is that you need your kids to stay off drugs and to know how to connect with people, how to build a community of people who care about them.

There are plenty of people with no money at all who also lose their lives to drugs and alcohol. I think those of us who aren't prone to addiction - because of our biology and circumstance - should show empathy and grace to those who are.

My parent was about the same age when they died- decades of addiction and finally their heart gave out. It takes a toll on the body and heart becomes very weak. MP nearly died a few years ago.

I never got the impression that any of them were tight, except maybe during filming because they were together so much. I think a lot of people wanted to believe they were a close little family because it keeps the magic of the show going, but at the end of the they were just coworkers. Are people super close with coworkers years after they leave a job? Sometimes, but it's not really the norm. Plus it can be very hard to be close to someone with addiction--it ruins friendships.

They spent 10 years co-starring together on the #1 sitcom - and they got to do this as equals, who negotiated their contracts as a unit. I don't think it's crazy to think that these six actors, with that history, share a bond that the rest of us would find almost impossible to understand.

What more is there to say, really? Since when do people who are not family or current business associates need to make any public statement at all? How do you read something like this and assume the people involved are busy hatching any plans of any kind?

Keith Morrison (Dateline) is on the Kelly Clarkson Show today 10/31. If you didn’t know, Matthew Perry’s stepfather was Keith Morrison. Unsure if there is more than one Keith Morrison out there? I assume the show was filmed earlier.

I think there were more reports of the women spending time together over the years than the men.

I don’t remember any tabloids about a guys dinner or trip or even any photos.

Jennifer Anniston is the godmother to Courtney Cox’s child. They’re definitely friends irl.

Everyone else were coworkers for a decade.

I always thought David had perfect timing, especially the first season. They all got better in future seasons.

While David was given crediting for coming up with the idea they all make the same pay, it was Courteney who made it possible. In the reunion she said she had a clause that she would always be the highest paid cast member. She forfeited the clause in her contract so everyone got equal pay. Thus, despite what some say or think, David would never have the highest pay if Courteney kept that clause.
