I guess I'll choose my humble yet happy & healthy life over the glitz and the constant gnawing of unfillment of Hollywood.
Addiction affects people from all walks of life. Even humble ones.

I don’t think they’ve been super close to him in years. He said in the reunion none of them called him.
I never got the impression that any of them were tight, except maybe during filming because they were together so much. I think a lot of people wanted to believe they were a close little family because it keeps the magic of the show going, but at the end of the they were just coworkers. Are people super close with coworkers years after they leave a job? Sometimes, but it's not really the norm. Plus it can be very hard to be close to someone with addiction--it ruins friendships.
+1

And ....??? Relevance??
None.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement reads. "There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."
"In time we will say more, as and when we are able," the statement continues. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
Took them this long to say “we will say more” later? I see a special on the horizon with proceeds going to his charity.

I always thought David had perfect timing, especially the first season. They all got better in future seasons.
While David was given crediting for coming up with the idea they all make the same pay, it was Courteney who made it possible. In the reunion she said she had a clause that she would always be the highest paid cast member. She forfeited the clause in her contract so everyone got equal pay. Thus, despite what some say or think, David would never have the highest pay if Courteney kept that clause.
