Comments like this are so useless to any substantive discussion. Especially in reference to Kennedy st, where there is a police car parked two blocks away from the incident 24/7.
DP but what substantive discussion are you looking for? Pros/cons of daytime shootings? The police car that is parked on Kennedy is empty, and pointless. Might as well put up a poster with a cop's face on it. That'll fix it!
Well, this in the ward 4 election thread so I'm presuming this person is blaming CM George for a crime that happened right where police are stationed. Do you want her to sit in the MPD car herself?
After every shooting she issues a statement about how she's *met with the police!!* so yeah, if the car that's been empty for 18 months is still empty while shootings ramp up, that actually is on her. She has the access and authority to demand that MPD's gestures not be empty, but that might lead to an arrest, and then dog-forbid a detention for the poor little attempted murderers. Can't have that.
What a ridiculous framing you have of her positions. The car is also not empty. Good luck on the campaign trail
Factually inaccurate, and extremely weak. You say bringing up shootings is wrong unless you have a substantive discussion, then accuse the person who engages with you of being, what, a plant? Lisa Gore online? Give me a break. I voted for JLG, had her sign in my yard. She has lost my confidence and my vote. You trolling this thread to demand that people not talk about her policies or being snarky online when they do isn't winning it back.
I don't think you're a plant. I think you are really bad at actual arguments because all you can do is engage with childish rhetoric that is inaccurate to the truth. You might get your fringe people but most people can see past that. Theres a certain corner of X where you all are parked and its probably for the best that you have each other.

Yet, as recently as 2018, I was regularly taking kids to lunch or dinner on the weekends at that location. I knew that drug dealers were around, but also that people minding their own business were generally safe. Because of the crime policies we’ve since enacted, everyone has a target on their back in the neighborhood.
You can feel that way, but most of us do not feel like we have targets on our back.
Also, "as recently as 2018" like come on

JLG’s policies are having the exact consequences we kept saying they would. She’s working on a fruit basket to send to the shooter, I’m sure.
Vote her out in ‘24.
How about MPD does something instead of posting on DCUM. We know you can when you care to.
I've looked at what Lewis George is proposing and I think she's on a reasonable track.
I guess you like the way crime has been going in our neighborhoods.
+1 she doesn’t even acknowledge when a crime happens. At least Todd used to send emails about it. Although she will probably spend the whole day sending emails about all the shooting and car jacking.
-1 because she does. Why would you lie about something that I can easily remember.
Can you copy paste the email that she sent today about this incident? Because I haven’t seen it.
The email finally came at 8:46pm. Someone from her team is probably reading this, because those updates are rare.
