This. My mom would have a fit if we showed up even a few minutes late. I don’t hold others to that strict standard, but do for myself.

What! I host often also -- dinner parties, book club meetings, larger parties not necessarily at a meal time. Someone always shows up exactly on time, and I'm always totally delighted with them.

And yes, I would say most people trickle in 10-30 minutes later.

Nope. Everyone does not know this. Apparently the host also can’t get her sh¡t together and have the party ready BY THE ARRIVAL TIME SHE WROTE ON HER INVITE.
