I do work in K-12 education but I not sure where I stand on Basis. No direct experience with the school. Don't know why I find this all so compelling.

Congrats if you are taking the spot. Your kid will be fine and will catch up quickly. We were in a similar position a few years back and it was more stressful for us as parents than my kid starting a week later than their classmates.
