Seriously. On what planet are these stylist for anyone other than a 70-80 year old grandmother from Palm Beach.

Why is it an insult to suggest that someone is 80? My mom is close to 80, and while she is not a maven of style, she would not wear these sandals. She has sandals similar to (but not exactly the same as) the fit flops that an earlier person posted, which are reasonable, normal sandals. Being an older person does not mean that you are compelled to pick unattractive styles. People can dress nicely for the age that they are.

I hadn't worn Birks before but with the latest rise in popularity I'm considering a pair.

I have terrible feet (wide, high arches, plantar fasciitis) so finding cute sandals is such a struggle. I really like my new Fit Flops, they are super comfy and don't look like orthotics IMO.
