Oh just stop, OP.
We should be the ones who are miffed for having to endure your sock puppeting.

FYI, the self-centered, insensitive, apathy is really an ugly look.

Yep!

I stayed at the bounce places because kids often get hurt there. I don't know these parents having the party and I don't trust the teens there on every level.

Wow. Now I know where the mean kids get it from. Is having to talk to someone other than your bestie so awful that a child should be excluded from the party?

Right?

Show some compassion.

She doesn’t have any. I don’t think she’s an actual troll; the casual meanness of calling her a ‘random mom’ and refusing to see how odd it was to think she could have her girls night out midday at a bounce house including only 2 of the fellow class parents after she chose to invite the entire class….I mean, it is what it is; she’s a chickenshit grim little loser who doesn’t have actual friendships. She didn’t ever grow. She isn’t capable of compassion.

According to Jeff she at minimum is a sock puppeteer and the few ridiculous responses in her defense were (unsurprisingly) likely her.

I missed that, so she is a probable troll

Jeff talked about it in his daily update blog of threads with the most engagements (most active) from the day before (it's the last thread he mentions towards the bottom of the page).

Post 03/27/2023 13:27     Subject: Re:Another mom invited herself to my kid’s birthday party

As others have noted, OP’s response is unkind toward this kid and this parent (and short sighted in that she doesn’t realize one day it could be her kid who feels like an outsider and needs a little kindness), but she’s also delusional that she’s going to be kicking back with friends while hosting a class full of second graders, lol. Every two minutes, a kid is going to need help finding the bathroom, crying cause they fell and got hurt, spilled juice on clothes and is all wet, fight with other kid, etc. She’ll probably end up being very glad to have an extra set of adult eyes and hands.

Wow. I can't believe OP. My K-er is showing a lot of signs of anxiety. Does OP think the mom WANTS to be coming to the party? She does not. She's doing it because she is trying to help her kid.

OP is obviously not coming back but her initial post made me so sad. A kid is struggling and your first reaction is to complain that you have to have one more adult in the room? I hope you never have a kid who needs a little extra to feel comfortable OP. Truly just so unkind.

Well now that we know the OP's been on here sock puppeting can't help but wonder if *all* of the very few positive responses to OP were actually her.

I wish OP would come back and tell us how many parents actually stayed for the party.

OP, there can be lots of reason why parents stay at parties as mentioned above. I personally stayed in the early elementary years because my child had Type 1 diabetes, and needed an adult to administer insulin for food and treat low blood sugars. I didn't expect the parent of the birthday child to entertain me, and stayed in a corner reading unless asked to help in some way.

Same. And I wouldn't call her or think of her as, "random mom".
