There’s a 1995 book titled:
The Empty Empire : How Chris Whittle Fooled Corporate America, The Wild Rise and Hard Fall of Chris Whittle

Maybe the HoS would be incentivized to read a good book if he didn’t keep wildly rising while reserving the hard fall for the families and teachers and people being presumably trolled on here

1995!!! So a quarter of a century later, they didn’t know anything and were just carrying out the Whittle will? What a sick joke.

It’s also not just a Maret matter, there were families and families left in their wake to pick up the pieces without a kind word or gesture from the HoS and wife who benefited tremendously. Also it’s good to not normalize this kind of integrity-questionable choice in DC schools. Next thing you know any crook and failed HoS can get the job

Dcum is not nothing. Just ask the Brookings. I think they also broke the Dep Mayor sexual harassment investigation here. Did they make the Mayor act? No, but it was still very helpful.

Scrutiny is this case is necessary and hopefully never goes away.


I don’t think anonymous postings is the scrutiny this deserves. Am curious if anyone has gone public. Clearly, folks have been at it for a year now on DCUM and nothing has changed. At some point it just starts to look like random trolling and turns people off.
