That’s not my understanding. Does anyone know for sure?
Yes, you can absolutely attend multiple qualifiers. Next level is sending two U19 teams to Meadowbrook in January.

It happens. Doesn’t mean they aren’t a good team.
That’s exactly what it means.
Disagree. I wasn’t there and don’t know these players, but I do know it happens that players are sick/hurt or you end up in a tough pool or it was just an off day.
I’m not going to write a team off because of one tournament.

Imagine driving from Northern Virginia to Bethesda MD and battling traffic for club practices only to not qualify? Ooof!

College coaches usually don’t talk to players’ high school coaches because 90% of the time they are just warm bodies or failed high school players who got the job because they work at the school and were available to fill the head coach position. Club coaches are the ones who are at the showcase tournaments, talking to coaches before and after games. And obviously the competition in club is way better than high school. If the husel coach or next level coach or whomever won’t make a call on behalf of your DD, then your DDs chance of recruitment becomes very difficult at any level - D1, D2 or D3. That is why finding and playing for the right club is so important.
There is some truth to this but not to the extent described here. If college coach has seen DD play and likes how she plays then, yes, the club coach will be contacted for more info. But club coach making initial contact on player’s behalf has limited value if DD was not already scouted by college coach at national tournaments. Agree when picking a club, need good club-player fit and confidence that club coach will advocate for DD when and if the time comes

Is that what the Husel coaches are spinning for why they left? I heard the director bad mouthed about them to another parent, saying one was a terrible player and she would never support them in recruiting. Director then followed through and didnt take them to a showcase tournament. These were all met and all state players. There are multiple stories in a similar vain I’ve heard that have us avoiding them even though it would be convenient[/quote
There is not a singler All-Met or All-State player from Husel who left and went to NL in the last two years. Now you're just making things up. Were these 2023 players? 2022?

Not made up, the two that left for NL bc of the cra cra director trash talking to other parents were 23s and were all met, all state
Not sure why any of this is relevant, but them leaving Husel has nothing to do with why they weren't recruited. There are quite a number of strong, D1 recruits who aren't on the all-met or all-state selections, which goes to show how they are just driven by high school coaches, who are each given a number of players they can select based on the team's performance, and largely favor public school and WCAC players. If they were strong enough to play D1, they would be playing D1.
Agree on how irrelevant the all-met and all-state selections. Seen some that were deserved but also some which I cannot figure out how they were even close to being selected. Seen some of these girls play club and they cannot even move down the field a few yards with the ball during a game. Not surprised that coaches push the names of their favored players for these selections.
