Or a mom with one toddler driving a big SUV to and from preschool every day. It just looks silly to me. It also sucks -- these big vehicles make driving worse for everyone and are generally a lot more dangerous to other people than smaller cars. It feels like ego and selfishness. I don't judge some family of 5 with a minivan because that makes sense but I don't understand why some people have decided that EVERYONE needs some huge vehicle. Remember when most people drove mid-size sedans.

I love defying the stereotypes. I can’t be the only straight, married, ultra-feminine, dress-wearing, non-sporty Mom of 3 adult DC, tooling about in my candy-colored Crosstrek, right? Maybe I’m closer to the Jeep Girl stereotype?
I’d have driven this car in my 20s had it been available.
