Same. I am from Europe and I find this custom so embarrassingly lower class.

Because we as Americans are an extremely narcissistic group that feel we must push ourselves upon others to be noticed and if we are not noticed we throw temper tantrums. As simple as that.

But why do people forego including a handwritten note with the photo card? I receive plenty of these photo cards, and enjoy the picture (and display it) but I also feel like it's thoughtless because there's no personal note. They're just sending them out in bulk to get the job done. I miss when people would say a hello in their own handwriting. I send regular "old school cards" to people every year and include a brief note. It takes time, yes, but that's the point.

We send a photo card every year to our friends and love receiving them. I display them on a ribbon throughout the house. I hope none of you are my friends - jeez.

Don’t the BRF send out photo Christmas cards. You don’t have to display anything.

The French send pictures of their families on strike.

I do not mind this but rarely send mine as who has time for that? What I cannot stand is a play by play letter of their lives and the lives of their children, even their jobs. So weird.

I’m an American. I don’t understand having a royal family or rioting when the govt suggests a full-time work week be longer than 30 hours or lunches be shorter than 2 hours.
