Jay Z. Never needed to write down lyrics to a verse before he spit which is extremely rare . Maybe Erik B was the only other one who could do this

Fiona Apple had authentic, raw natural musical talent.

I still am surprised her career never blossomed.

I came on here to post Fiona Apple. Truly a prodigy. I think her career never blossomed because she made people uncomfortable and never wanted to conform to what was expected.

I think her mental health struggles have impacted what she’s been able to accomplish. She’s put out some incredible music, but hasn’t done the touring, interviews, and publicity other performers do. Plenty of musicians are non-conforming and make people uncomfortable—this isn’t the issue.

Anonymous wrote:How in the world are Leanne Rimes and Mozart on the same list? Leanne Rimes--really? she's mediocre at best. Jon Batiste is today's living prodigy.

I don’t think Leann and Mozart are comparable, but I do think she was a child prodigy. She is an exceptionally talented singer whose blockbuster first album was recorded when she was just 11! Country may not be your thing, but the album remains remarkable. I thought the way the OP worded it (with “are”) that we were talking about living people, not people throughout history.
