Does anyone else remember the South Park episode where the school has to keep changing the holiday play so it doesn’t offend anyone? They’re left with the kids spinning around onstage in tan sacks, with spoken Philip Glass poetry in the background. A parent in the audience rightfully says What the hell is this?? Yeah, that’s what has happened with what we now call American entertainment.

The Bird Cage

It’s one of the best movies. Timeless. Hilarious. Talented ensemble cast.

But Hollywood would never make the same film today using straight actors as gay characters.
