Check out the banned "Everywhere Babies" book!!! Finding the objectionable part is like a "where's Waldo?" activity.
Ok. I just tried to find it. What is the issue?
There's a picture where it maybe looks like two guys are together romantically. Remember when we were told it "wasn't a don't say gay bill" and that it only banned "sexual content." Remember what people told you that, because they lied to you.

Anyone who is supporting DeSantis over Disney (and I hate Disney culture with a fiery passion) is a fascist, a homophobic fascist.
I don’t support DeSantis over Disney. However I do think that there is a difference between telling a 6 year old about gay people vs. telling them that they can choose to be a boy or a girl or both or neither.

I do know one of these books available to 13 year olds shows an explicit drawing of someone giving a blow job. I’m no prude and I think we should exercise extreme caution censoring books, but I don’t want my kid reading that. And no, my kid also doesn’t have unfettered access to the internet.

I’d really be interested in seeing what it is that Florida is calling “CRT” in a math book. Really. Maybe Kobe ended up with more apples than Kristie? /s
It does stand out that examples and titles aren’t listed — so their judgments can’t be assessed at all, let alone assessed accurately.
So “CRT” now means whatever these Republican politicians want it to mean, and they’re using their personal standards to impact the education of millions of students with no explicit standards or opportunities for assessment. This is America folks.

Yes, I’m shocked, SHOCKED that the Florida Department of Education did not provide examples.
They have now.

I have less of an issue with the materials on any racial/political grounds than I do with the use of non-zero-based y-axis in the charts, that's terrible data viz 101 and makes the charts quite misleading. There are some cases where non-zero-based is fine and can be made quite clear, but this is basically a direct example of what not to do.
