MLSN II is a competition platform for B teams of MLSN clubs and the A teams of lower level clubs, like VRSC. VRSC was granted second tier to provide more local matches for B teams and to delineate a pathway for any top players through NVA.
There is no promotion/relegation. The format is the same as ECNL and RL. MLSN II will have their own separate league, regional events, and national events.
So is MLSN 2 equivalent to ECNL RL? Or slightly better? Or worse? I don't know anything about the other clubs in MLSN 2 and how they compare to VA ECNL RL teams. Not sure which direction to go for a kid who is on track to play ECNL RL, probably borderline good enough to make ECNL, but definitely not MLSN caliber. Main goal is to play in high school.
Yes equivalent to ECNL RL. Would have been better if they named it MSLN-RL. Or GA-RL instead of Aspire

What's really sad are the keyboard warriors who sit here (literally), ready to bash any VRSC successes...and why? Simply bc they're VRSC?! What is absolutely the most shocking part of all is that this is youth soccer. Youth being the keyword there. Youth. Your kids must be proud.

Keep coping troll. Loudoun, Alexandria, and McLean are the same league. I love this so much for how angry you all are.
Their second teams are in the same league. PA Classics is also putting multiple second teams in the league. and West Virginia. I'm not angry. but your bragging is silliness.
